Fayetteville enjoys a mild climate, with July high temperatures averaging 90.5 degrees and January lows dipping to 30.9 degrees. The community receives an average of 46.5 inches of precipitation per year. In the city you can enjoy everything from skiing to surfing without having to leave the state. Thousands of soldiers and airmen reside at Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force Base in what is one of the world's largest military complexes.

Today the area provides the nation with one of the most diversified centers for manufacturing industries and provides a solid economic base from which to recruit new industries and plan comprehensive, long-term industrial growth. Fayetteville State University, part of the University of North Carolina system, is the state's fastest-growing, most rapidly improving institution of higher education. The people of the region are committed to maintaining excellence in educational programs.

Fayetteville offers a variety of cultural venues for all ages and interests. Commercial real estate is flourishing in the city.
